We Got Married At a Zoo!
Autumn Wedding at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo
Would you believe me if I said I shot a wedding at the Zoo in front of the giraffe exhibit? AND the couple is the real life Barbie and Ken…Literally. Meet Barb and Ken! This adorable couple tied the knot last fall at the Lincoln Zoo and they couldn’t have asked for a better day!
The couple spent the morning apart surround by their people, building anticipation until the first look. We did an intimate first look at the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, NE. This allowed for the couple to have a bit of time alone before the day started which I always advocate for. The gardens were an absolute perfect backdrop for the couple as all the greenery and florals complimented so well.
The early evening ceremony took place soon after pictures across the street at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo. The Bride had worked there previously hence why we had the coolest ceremony spot. The giraffes watched from a distance but every so often would come up to hear what we had to say. Following the ceremony, the reception was held just across the zoo. While everyone danced the night away, the zoo train was open for people to take rides on which I found so fun!
I am so honored to have captured the wedding day of Barb and Ken. Just being around this couple for five minutes and you will feel the love they have for each other immediately. Congratulations on almost one year of marriage!
